Mike Jones's Super Bowl-Saving Tackle

Super Bowl XXXIV between the St. Louis Rams and Tennessee Titans ended on one of the most dramatic defensive stands ever. With six seconds left, the Titans, down 23-16, had the ball on the Rams' 10-yard line. quarterback Steve McNair threw a quick pass to Kevin Dyson on a slant route. Dyson caught the ball and stretched for the end zone, but Rams linebacker Mike Jones wrapped him up and dragged him down, holding him just one yard short of the goal line as time expired.

"The Tackle" secured the Rams' first Super Bowl victory and denied the Titans a miraculous comeback of their own. It was a perfect example of fundamental tackling under the highest pressure imaginable. Mike Jones, a relatively unknown player before that moment, became a Rams legend overnight. His jersey saw a brief but significant surge in sales. For fans of defensive plays, a Rams jersey from that era is a great piece of history. You can find it listed under nfl jerseys by team for the St. Louis Rams, and a true fan would want an authentic nfl jerseys version to honor the defensive masterpiece.
